June 15 was a good, good day for us.  Attendance at Church and the Father's Day picnic exceeded our Easter attendance.  Praise the Lord!  We were blessed by many children, young and old, who showed up to honor their dads.  We counted nine babies among us.  Also, friends of the church from past years returned and surprised us with great pleasure.  I feel a tradition coming on. 

Our thanks to our "King of the Grills" cooks:  Bill F., Mark B., Orville S., and perhaps others we are overlooking.  Thanks also to each one who brought food and helped with preparations. 

Especially, we thank the Lord for granting us a beautiful day for a picnic.   

Six teams competed in the Cornhole Tournament.  After some hard fought games, Rebekah L. and Steve L. emerged the winners.  Congratulations to the 2008 champions.
