Monroe, OH - Local touring Christian Powerpop/Rock band Matter of Fact is holding their CD release show at LifeWay Christian Church on Saturday, November 22.  But this isn't just an ordinary show.  It's a concert and a live video taping for an upcoming dual DVD & Live CD release coming in early 2009.

"We're excited to be having our CD release at our home church," says bassist Mike Lyons.

"It's going to be a night to remember for everyone who can make it out, I can guarantee that!  The DVD taping is going to be pretty memorable."

The band has been touring as well as recording their debut CD for most of 2008.  The actual studio recording started in late December 2007 at Sounds Underground Studios in Trenton, Ohio.  Since then, the band has been touring and promoting. Recording wrapped up in late August, and a CD release party has been in the works ever since.

"As a band, we wanted to do something huge...something our fans would remember.  We wanted to leave a lasting impression.  So the idea got tossed around; 'what if we did a live DVD of a show?' and we thought 'hey, what if we do it at the CD release show?!  If the Newsboys can do it, why can't we?" says Lyons with a chuckle.

Matter of Fact has left a good impression on the a lot people that they have met along the way.  Already receiving favorable reviews on iTunes, this CD release is sure to be something pretty big for the community, LifeWay Christian Church, and the band.  The band also indicated that they are working alongside an award winning videographer in Shane Pergrem, from SMP Productions to get this DVD taping done.  Having a live taping is something that would surely intrigue a lot of music fans out there.  Coupling that with a CD release is even moreso.

"It's going to be a great night.  I know people will walk away satisfied, and hopefully with an appreciation for what we do musically," Lyons stated. 

We know one thing for sure, this band is on the move.
